Where to Dine in Renmark

Of course, at The Frames you don’t have to leave the comfort of your villa to experience food culture. In villa dining options provides the opportunity to enjoy a quiet and romantic dinner, with a private chef, it will be a dinner to remember!

The Frames three villas are equipped with full kitchens and our chef can pre-prepare meals that you simply heat and serve or BBQ provisions that you cook in the outdoor kitchen.

However, if you would like to experience local Riverland cuisine we have a few favourites that we think you should try as well.

Home style Greek meets award winning wines at Mallee Estate Wines ‘Eleni’s’ Restaurant in Renmark. Traditional favourites from Spanakopita and braised rabbit to pan fried Murray Cod (Psari tis Imeras) feature on the menu. We recommend ordering a few dishes to share as is the Greek way of coming together, don’t forget the Baklava!

Modern Thai

A floating restaurant with panoramic views of the Murray River, dining on board the paddle boat the Murray River Queen is quite special. Modern cooking styles are fused with traditional Thai to deliver a menu that is flavoursome and satisfying. We love the 12 hour slow cooked beef short ribs and the pork belly and crispy barramundi salad! The Queen also showcases three Riverland wines, be sure to try them before dinner in the cellar door on board.

Modern Australian

Local and seasonal ingredients are the building blocks to a vibrant and generous menu at the Renmark Club. A river front setting for the bistro provides the option for indoor and outdoor dining, we prefer to sit outside on balmy summer nights and watch the activity of boats on the river. Pork grown in Waikerie and cider grown in Loxton are the key ingredients to one of our favourite meals and Australian fare such as Kangaroo also makes an appearance.

Australian Fare & Thai

The Mallee Fowl Restaurant has long been an icon of the Riverland, known for its interesting collection of Australiana paraphernalia.  An award winning ‘themed’ restaurant, the menu features Australian fare such as kangaroo, barramundi and crocodile and Thai dishes, delivering a menu for a range of tastes. Be sure to pop in, even if just to browse the collection, a living museum of Australia.
